“When we encouraged our son Joe to attend the course, I had the feeling it would be interesting enough for us to attend as a family. ‘Interesting’ is an understatement! From a parent's point of view, I feel our son has gained an amazing amount of knowledge about the War Between the States. I realize that though I have always been avidly interested in history, especially this era, I didn't know what I thought I knew! Joe Warnke has compiled his information into a course, in an order that is logical and more complete than anything I have studied in the past. He has laid the groundwork for what happened, in a way that makes the whole course exciting and easy to learn. I am amazed to realize how incomplete the education about this time in history was, even in the '50's and 60's! The young man teaching the course is phenomenal!! His syllabus is impressive, and the class we are in is about 50/50 kids and adults!! We are in awe of the knowledge he has, and the information he is sharing and teaching. This course would impress ANY adult, no matter how educated in history, even our Southern history! The most impressive part---Joe Warnke is completely home schooled! He's 18 years old! We really believe in what he is trying to accomplish, in terms of truth in education, complete education, and especially in light of how our state board of education is bent on drastically reducing standards, and determined to continue the "dumbing down" of our students.”

On American History I-III,
“I have recently completed my second course taught by Joe Warnke, and I offer these observations. Teaching the course was an ambitious undertaking by Mr. Warnke, as it covered American History-Columbus to The War Between the States, with a very comprehensive syllabus. Having taken another history course taught by Mr. Warnke, I already knew the extent of his teaching in great detail, and his being adamant about historical fact and accuracy, with documentation of both. The required textbook The History of the United States by Alexander H. Stephens added an interesting tone to the class. A.H. Stephens was vice-president of the Confederacy. Since his book was originally published in 1872, the feeling was this gave the class a perspective much closer in time to the actual events, and in much more detail. Mr. Warnke also compiled extensive timelines, handed out at each class, along with detailed information sheets about each president covered in the course. I highly recommend Joe Warnke's history courses...all of them! Regardless of your level of interest in history, I promise you will finish with a much broader base of knowledge, and even more enthusiasm about history.”
